How You Can Give
One-Time or Repeat Donations
New opportunity! Farm Credit Services of America awarded WCI a $2,000 grant for a Summer Apprenticeship at the Country Life Center. But it’s not enough to provide a stipend, direct instruction and professional learning opportunities all summer long. Can you match this grant with a gift of any amount?
Your one-time gift helps us expand existing programs, reach new audiences and maintain and improve our historic location. Choosing the recurring monthly or annual option demonstrates your commitment to WCI’s work. You can cancel at any time.
You can also give in remembrance of a loved one or in honor of someone special. Please be sure to include the honoree’s name for listing in our annual report.
All donors receive a monthly e-newsletter or quarterly newsletter, special event notices, and annual report recognition.

Please contact us with a description of the item to insure that your contribution is a good fit for our needs.
A Planned Gift
A planned gift can continue the generosity that you’ve demonstrated throughout your life. WCI accepts unrestricted gifts and gifts for specific programs and purposes. Accepted gifts include cash, securities, real estate, bequests, life insurance beneficiary designations, and several other kinds. A charitable bequest offers these benefits:
Simplicity. Just a few sentences are all that is needed. Share the official bequest language below with your estate planning attorney.
Flexibility. Because you are not actually making a gift until after your lifetime, you can change your mind at any time.
Versatility. You can structure the bequest to leave a specific items or amount of money, make the gift contingent upon a certain event, or leave a percentage of your estate.
Tax Relief. If your estate is subject to estate tax, your gift is entitled to an estate tax charitable deduction for the gift’s full value.
Official Bequest Language for Your Attorney
“I, [name], of [city, state, zip], give, devise and bequeath to The Wallace Centers of Iowa [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] for its unrestricted use and purpose.”
