How You Can Give
Gifts of All Sizes Welcome!
You can make great things happen no matter the size of your contribution! Large or small, gifts help maintain our historic properties and support programs that reach all ages. We’re grateful for your partnership with us.
All donors receive a monthly e-newsletter or quarterly newsletter, special event notices, and annual report recognition.
Right now we have a special need: the historic replica garden fence at the Wallace House was destroyed by the December derecho (photo above). Contributions for this special capital project will be kept separate from donations for general operations. Thank you for your help in replacing this distinctive feature.

A Planned Gift
A planned gift can continue the generosity that you’ve demonstrated throughout your life. WCI accepts unrestricted gifts and gifts for specific programs and purposes. Accepted gifts include cash, securities, real estate, bequests, life insurance beneficiary designations, and several other kinds. A charitable bequest offers these benefits:
Simplicity. Just a few sentences are all that is needed. Share the official bequest language below with your estate planning attorney.
Flexibility. Because you are not actually making a gift until after your lifetime, you can change your mind at any time.
Versatility. You can structure the bequest to leave a specific items or amount of money, make the gift contingent upon a certain event, or leave a percentage of your estate.
Tax Relief. If your estate is subject to estate tax, your gift is entitled to an estate tax charitable deduction for the gift’s full value.
Official Bequest Language for Your Attorney
