DESCRIPTION:This three-course luncheon at the Wallace House includes a program of readings taken from the women’s section of historic issues of Wallaces’ Farmer magazine when Nancy Cantwell Wallace was editor. Each program and menu is a little different. \nThis event has assigned community seating; leave any seating requests with your order and we will do our best to accommodate. Please let us know in advance about any dietary restrictions. \nBecause our program experiences are planned on pre-registrations\, fees are non-refundable if cancellation received less than 10 days before the event date. SUMMARY:Prairie Art Board Pickup Begins
DESCRIPTION:The 2026 Prairie Art Exhibit\, “Sounds in the Prairie” will be on display at the historic Wallace Farm from June through September. \nSign up to paint a prairie art board and pick your board up at the Wallace Farm near Orient or the Wallace House in Des Moines starting Tuesday\, March 10. Completed paintings can be then dropped off at either location by Friday\, May 15. \nPlease following these guidelines prior to returning: \n\nIncorporate your own creative interpretation of the theme\nAcrylic or exterior paint recommended\nPaint the board edges to prevent weather damage\nSeal with 2+ coats with an outdoor sealer on both sides and all edges\n\nAs a participant you understand and agree to your art being on display to the public from June through September. Your art becomes WCI property unless you arrange for pickup after the exhibit ends. Your art may also be photographed and used for WCI marketing purposes or repurposed without remuneration. WCI is also not responsible for damage\, loss or theft.
