SUMMARY:Know Your Farmer Dinner: Rosmann Family Farms
DESCRIPTION:Chef Katie is teaming up with Iowa farmers Daniel & Ellen Walsh-Rosmann of Rosmann Family Farms for a special prix fixe dinner! Along with other family members\, Daniel and Ellen raise organic beef\, pork\, chickens\, eggs and popcorn on their farms near Harlan. They also operate FarmTable Procurement & Delivery\, an aggregate and distribution company that works with 40 different growers across Iowa. They will share their remarkable story during the evening. \nThe menu includes 3 courses: \n\n1st: Oxtail Rillette + Housemade Mustard & Pickled Vegetables\, Sourdough Bread by ChelseaB\n2nd: Herb-Crusted Pork Loin + Sweet Potato Puree\, Roasted Vegetables\, Rosemary Pork Jus\, Cranberry Relish\n3rd: Kabocha Squash Cheesecake with Popcorn Crust + Salted Caramel Popcorn\n\nDoors open at 6 pm\, dinner served at 6:30 pm. $65/person includes gratuity. BYOB; glassware & opener provided. Reservations are by table only. Full refund (minus transaction fees) if notified by noon Tuesday prior. Chef Katie mixes step-by-step demonstration with a dab of hands-on cooking. Gather around the dining table with other classmates to taste and enjoy the results. Bring your own wine to enjoy with the meal. \nBecause our class experiences are planned from reservations\, fees are non-refundable if cancellation received less than 10 days before the event date. Refunds for reservations made by credit card will reflect a deduction of the transaction fees. Registrants are always welcome to send someone in their place if unable to attend.
