SUMMARY:American Dreamer Picnic Theater
DESCRIPTION:Tom Milligan performs his one-act play Sunday\, August 29 at the Henry A. Wallace Country Life Center\, the birthplace farm of Henry A. Wallace. Doors open at 4:45 pm and showtime is 5:30 pm. A few picnic tables are available or bring your own lawn chairs. \nA gourmet picnic lunch featuring fruits and vegetables grown on site is included. Menu includes Turkey Sandwich on Rustic Bread\, Roasted Veggie Salad & Fruit Crisp + Bottled Water. Additional beverages (alcoholic & non-alcoholic) available for purchase. Please contact Chef Hans with any dietary restrictions in advance. \nThe Prairie Art Exhibit is available to view before or after the performance. 90+ paintings of “Prairie Creatures Great & Small” by community artists of all ages and skill levels are mounted along the one-mile grassy path. In addition\, a new 20-minute audio tour of the birthplace farm includes 6 stops around the Farmhouse and Gathering Barn.
